Is the Cost of College Worth It?

Yes.

For kids who go to college, work hard, stay on track to graduate within a reasonable amount of time AND major in a marketable degree program, college IS worth the cost, despite rising tuition rates.

A little bit about this blog

I help parents help their kids navigate the often confusing, sometimes daunting college years. I believe kids should take responsibility for their education by paying their own way through school. I believe parents can empower their kids to handle this responsibility. Your kids will appreciate their education all the more because they will own it.

I'm a mom of ten kids; two have graduated from college, two are currently in college, two will be entering college in the fall of 2012, and one is in grad school. My kids have learned self-sufficiency and how to pay their way to college through scholarships, loans, financial aid, and lots of hard work. I believe in the value of a college education and that it is attainable without putting parents into debt.
